According to a commentary in the “Washington Post,” the right-wing nationalist cauldron in the Russian Federation is boiling over. Perfervid ideas include ethnically cleansing the Ukrainian “idiots” and a tactical nuclear weapon exploded over Warsaw: to show all Europe that NATO is “a paper tiger.” But Vladimir Putin may not have given sufficient weight to Barack Obama’s secret weapon. In the event Putin actually declares war on Eastern Europe, Obama will not only preemptively close down any and all remaining McDonald’s still open in Russia, he will . . . resign. The prospect of Obama’s premature exit–possibly ending the golden age of Russian disdainful indifference to the U.S.–should put the fear of God in the former KGB apparatchik while creating ripples of concern among America’s adversaries all the way from Cuba to Syria to North Korea and the South China Sea!
