The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law is pleased to introduce a new group of interns and law clerks for the spring of 2024. Civil Rights Law Clerk, Elana Shapiro, is a fourth-year student at Georgetown Law. Mrs. Shapiro works as the Program Manager of the Georgetown Center for the Constitution while also taking law classes part-time in the evening program. She graduated summa cum laude from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University where she was the first graduate of the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership. Mrs. Shapiro looks forward to continuing her passion for Israel and the Jewish community through her work with the Brandeis Center this Spring. Law Clerk Hannah Fischman is a third-year law student at NYU School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College in political science. Prior to law school, Hannah worked in wealth management at AllianceBernstein. This past summer, Hannah was a summer associate at Ropes & Gray, where she looks forward to working full time after graduating from law school. Hannah cares deeply about combatting antisemitism on university campuses and is excited to work with the Brandeis Center this spring to further this mission of making college campuses safe and inclusive for Jewish students. Intern Mika Chin is a first-year student at the American University in Washington D.C., studying political science on a pre-law track. She is a member of the Cornerstone D.C. Program and has always been passionate about protecting the rights of minority groups. She is excited for her internship at the Brandeis Center to learn and develop law skills. Returning intern Annabelle Enig is a junior at Emory University, studying finance at Goizueta Business School. She is highly active at her school’s Chabad and is a Sinai Scholar. She previously served as Assistant Director to StandWithUs’ Teen Leadership Council where she focused on educating high school students on anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. Intern Samantha Wlodawsky is a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in corporate communication. Samantha is a social media ambassador for Texas Exes, a student assistant for the Office of American Studies, and helps incoming students as a Bevo Buddy leader. She is also involved in PRSSA, gaining professional mentorship and insight into the public relations realm. Before her Brandeis Center spring internship, she interned at Buckle as a Sales and Management intern and is still interning at Volt 31 as a CRM Marketing Analyst. She enjoys running and weightlifting and is passionate about music. The Brandeis Center welcomes this group of students for the Spring 2024 session.
