Fighting Anti-Semitism in Education in Court

Please join the Brandeis Center’s Staff Litigation Attorney, Deena Margolies, for an interactive discussion at B’nai Shalom in West Orange, New Jersey on Sunday, March 15 at 6:00pm. The topic of focus will be “Fighting Anti-Semitism in Education in Court.” This event is sponsored by B’nai Shalom Culture & Learning Center (CLC), and is open to the public, free of charge.

The talk will include how anti-Semitism manifests itself in our educational institutions today, how anti-Semitism is presented in practice, what legal tools are available to address this challenge, the role of federal civil rights laws in holding institutions accountable when they fail to address hostile environments, clarification on the interplay between civil rights protections and the First Amendment, and recent examples of matters handled by the Brandeis Center.
