The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law (LDB), a national civil rights organization based in Washington, D.C., commended the Regents of the University of California this morning for their vigorous statements concerning anti-Semitism during last weeks Regents Meeting at U.C. Irvine.

What is anti-Semitism? While rooted in history, it remains a malady to this day, evidenced by the recent and widely publicized terrorist attacks in a Parisian market. But as times change, so does the term’s meaning.

This afternoon, the Louis D. Brandeis Center urged the University of California (UC) Board of Regents to adopt the U.S. State Department’s definition of anti-Semitism. LDB issued its letter to the Regents in response to increasing incidents of campus anti-Semitism across the country and specifically at the University of California.
