Clerkships

Civil Rights Law Clerks

Current law students are invited to apply to clerk as a paid, part-time employee of the Brandeis Center. Clerks gain first-hand experience by working with Brandeis Center staff to protect students from anti-Semitic discrimination and harassment with the opportunity to see the legal process from beginning to end.

Law clerks have the opportunity to:

  • Assist attorneys with client and witness interviews as part of investigations
  • Work with attorneys to develop legal strategies; internally present findings orally and in writing
  • Support cases in courts across the country and before the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights
  • Research complicated issues on topics including state and federal civil rights laws, education laws, and the First Amendment

Law clerks commit ~10-15 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours per week during the summer to the Brandeis Center. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. To apply, please complete the application below.

Please contact balkon@brandeiscenter.com with any questions.
