On Wednesday, March 14, the Cardozo LDB chapter along with the Jewish Law Students Association will host the Lawfare Project’s founder and executive director Brooke Goldstein, Chief Operating Officer & Director of Research Benjamin Ryberg, and Director of Legal Affairs Amanda Berman, to speak on the topic of “Litigating to Uphold the Rights of the Jewish People.”

On Thursday, March 8, Professor Alexander Tsesis will speak to the newest LDB law student chapter at Case Western Reserve University School of Law on the topic of, “Campus Speech and the First Amendment.” 

On Wednesday, March 7, Northwestern Law Professor Eugene Kontorovich will speak to LDB students at Harvard Law. Professor Kontorovich’s research spans the fields of constitutional law, international law, and law and economics.

On Wednesday, Feb 8 – Thursday, Feb 9, LDB’s Director of Legal Initiatives Aviva Vogelstein and LDB’s Civil Rights Legal Fellow, Roee Talmor, will speak at three of Chicago’s LDB law student chapters. On Wednesday, Vogelstein and Talmor will address LDB students at Chicago-Kent College of Law about Using the Law to Combat Campus Anti-Semitism. 

On Monday, November 28, Professor Steven Resnicoff will speak to LDB law students at Chicago-Kent College of Law on how the west and its international law institutions have abandoned religious minorities.

On Tuesday, October 24, Supreme Court litigator Alyza Lewin will address LDB students at UC Berkeley School of Law on her work litigating the “Jerusalem Passport Case” in front of the Supreme Court.

On Monday, October 23, Northwestern Law Professor Eugene Kontorovich will speak to Emory Law’s LDB Law Student Chapter.

DB’s Director of Legal Initiatives, Aviva Vogelstein, will speak to law students at two of LDB’s West Coast law student chapters in the coming weeks.

LDB’s Director of Legal Initiatives, Aviva Vogelstein, will speak to students at Harvard Law School on Tuesday, October 3, on the topic of “Campus Anti-Semitism and the Law.”

On Tuesday, October 3, LDB President & General Counsel Kenneth L. Marcus will address the LDB Law Student Chapter at the University of Chicago on the topic of, “Fighting the New Anti-Semitism.”

On Tuesday afternoon, October 3, LDB President & General Counsel Kenneth L. Marcus will address the LDB Law Student Chapter at Loyola Chicago on the topic of, “Anti-Semitism and Civil Rights.”

LDB is pleased to officially launch its newest law student chapter at CWRU Law School! The LDB law students at CWRU will help respond to anti-Semitic incidents should they arise on their own campus or in their region, and will hold educational panels and events on topics such as legal strategies to combat anti-semitism, civil rights laws in the U.S., international human rights law, and more.

LDB’s Director of Legal Initiatives, Aviva Vogelstein, will address the LDB chapter at her law school alma mater, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, on September 25, 2017 from 12-1pm.

LDB’s Director of Legal Initiatives, Aviva Vogelstein, will meet with and speak to students at the LDB chapters at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and University of Minnesota Law School, on September 18 and September 19, respectively.

The Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia will welcome LDB’s Human rights expert Kenneth L. Marcus to its lunchtime discussion series in Fairfax, Virginia, where he will discuss his book on “The Definition of Anti-Semitism.”

On Thursday, September 14, LDB President & General Counsel Kenneth L. Marcus will address the LDB Law Student Chapter at Cornell University on the topic of, “Making Dollars or Making Change: Big Law, Human Rights, and Becoming a Purposeful Lawyer.”

On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, the LDB chapter at UC Berkeley School of Law will host Professor Abraham Bell, to speak on Terrorism and the Law. Professor Bell teaches at the University of San Diego School of Law Bar Ilan University, and teaches and writes in the areas of property, copyright, international law, and economic analysis of law.

LDB’s Kenneth L. Marcus will visit the North Carolina Hillel to address “Human Rights and Anti-Semitism in the Current Climate.” This event, to be held in the Genome Science Building at UNC-Chapel Hill, is hosted by NC Hillel and cosponsored by: Carolina Center for Jewish Studies…

In the wake of recent events in Charlottesville and on UVA’s campus, Eric Fusfield, Deputy Director of the B’nai B’rith Center for Human Rights and Public Policy and Director of Legislative Affairs for B’nai B’rith International, will speak at the UVA School on Law on the topic of Global Anti-Semitism, Law, and Policy.
