The Brandeis Center is accepting applications for Communications and Development Interns. Location: Washington, D.C. Telework available for Interns to work from alternative locations. Term: Internships available for Fall semester or Spring semester. Arrangements can be made for students on quarterly systems. Principal duties: Working directly under the supervision of the Brandeis Center’s Director of Legal Initiatives, Interns’ duties are likely to include some combination of the following: drafting press releases, writing blog entries, compiling monthly newsletter, researching grant opportunities, preparing development memoranda, drafting correspondence and preparing grant applications. Some data entry may be required. Qualifications: Interest in nonprofit organizations. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Experience with Microsoft Word is required and Excel is preferred. Compensation: Position is unpaid. Application Process and Timing: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
