REGISTER HERE FOR THE WEBINAR In recent years, the United States has seen a record number of incidents of anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism, and assault. Further, although Jews account for only 2% of the U.S. population, 15% of all hate crimes target Jews, according to the FBI. Individuals don’t park their hate at the workplace door. Some of the hate (and lesser bias) inevitably cascades into the workplace. Acting EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas has stated publicly that addressing anti-Semitism is among her top priorities. But many employers have not yet infused combating anti-Semitism into their compliance policies and practices, including training. This creates material legal exposure. In this program, Brandeis Center leaders Kenneth Marcus and Alyza Lewin, and attorney Jonathan Segal, will discuss examples of anti-Semitic discrimination and harassment that can occur in the workplace and steps employers should take to prevent and respond to them.
