On Monday, March 28, LDB President Kenneth L. Marcus will speak on a panel at Northwestern University Law School on the topic of, “Beyond Biglaw: Alternative Career Paths in the Law?”

At the University of Virginia School of Law, Dr. Aleksandra Gliszczyńska-Grabias will speak at an event hosted by LDB’s UVA chapter about her work on advancing an international treaty that would provide protection against discrimination and hatred based on anti-semitism and other religious grounds.

In Minneapolis, LDB’s President Kenneth L. Marcus will participate in a University of Minnesota panel discussion on the current situation of anti-Semitism in Europe.

Cornell University’s Law School’s LDB Chapter will host a talk by Professor Eugene Kontorovich of Northwestern University Law School on “The New Anti-Discrimination: State Laws on Israel Boycott.”

On Wednesday, March 2, 2016, LDB Attorney Aviva Vogelstein will speak on a panel entitled, “The Battle on Campus and What BDS Means.” The Panel is part of a 5-part series for Baltimore Jewish communal professionals, lay leaders, and students on “New Frontiers in Confronting Anti-Semitism.”

LDB will conduct its third annual national law students’ leadership conference in the San Francisco Bay Area, featuring prominent scholars and practitioners of civil and human rights law, including U.S., international, and comparative law experts.

On Wednesday, February 10, the University of Pennsylvania LDB Chapter will host Professor Alexander Tsesis, to speak on the topic of “Terrorism, the Internet and the First Amendment.”

On Thursday, February 4, Cardozo’s LDB Chapter will host Professor Eugene Kontorovich, who will speak about how group boycotts, such as BDS, violate U.S. law. Kontorovich is one of the world’s preeminent experts on international law and the Israel-Arab conflict.
